Korean Drama: How Much Love

Drama January 1st, 2009

Last night on new year’s eve, I didn’t have specific plan, so I just watched a new DVD I bought two days ago. It’s a korean drama. The title is How Much Love. It’s another drama that has Kim Ji Hoon in it *yayy* I purposely bought this drama for that reason. I guess I can’t get enough of him ^^;;

More on the story, How Much Love is a Romeo and Juliet in Korean style ^^ Kim Ji Hoon played as Dong Soo, a self made man who comes from a poor family. He’s the kindhearted type, a family man. The girl is played by Jo Yuh Jung. Her name is Lee Sun Joo in this drama, comes from a rich family, but she’s not the snob type girl. Sun Joo was forced to marry the man of her father’s choice (Oh Hyung Chul), but she refused and ran away to a small island called Wan, where she met Dong Soo. By an accident, she ended up staying with Dong Soo’s family. So far, Hyung Chul is not a bad guy, so I don’t mind if Sun Joo is ended up with him *hahaha* No no no, this will make the story ends right away ^^;;

Up till episode 15, Sun Joo hasn’t showed a significant interest at Dong Soo. The story is progressing slowly till now. But I can bear with it since I can adore Kim Ji Hoon ^^;; From what I learned, Sun Joo’s father was the cause of the misfortune of Dong Soo’s family. That’s why these two love birds will get many obstacles in later episodes. I can’t tell you much cause I haven’t finished watching it ^^;; But from some reviews I found on the internet, this drama will have a happy ending *I won’t watch it if it has sad ending :P*

So far, I can only found How Much Love drama on the internet with Chinese subtitle. I don’t know when the English subtitle will be available. Let’s just hope that some group will translate this drama :)

Little Surprise at JW Marriott

Misc, Personal November 29th, 2008

I went to welcoming-new-member lunch with my colleagues yesterday. My boss picked up Restaurant Sailendra at JW Marriott Hotel. This restaurant’s buffet is fancy and delicious. We had a wonderful lunch and talk.

When we were ready to leave the hotel lobby, I noticed a door man who’s waiting at the front door. At first when I arrived at the hotel, because of my poor eyesight and ignorance attitude, I didn’t notice him. But this time, when I was ready to leave the hotel, I notice that he’s quite good looking, and the best part is, he is Kim Ji Hoon’s look-a-like :D His skin color is the same, the type of hairdo is almost the same, although it’s not as thick as Kim Ji Hoon’s hair in drama Matchmaker’s Lover.  He has lovely smile, although it’s not as charming as Kim Ji Hoon’s smile *duh, of course :P*

But I think he’s the best similar looking man with Kim Ji Hoon I’ve ever found ;) Too bad I didn’t take his picture. I would be mortified if my friends saw me asking for his picture taken ^^;; So, I’m sorry, I couldn’t give you guys the evidence. But believe me, he’s so look-a-like. Well, thanks to him, he succeeded made my day yesterday ;)

Kim Ji Hoon Mania Syndrome

Personal October 30th, 2008

Following my previous post about Korean drama that I’m watching right now, I think I’m catching Kim Ji Hoon mania syndrome ^^;; The signals?

  • I’ve searched any info about him for the past 2 day. Photos, music video, other dramas that he was in, drooling over his photos, etc etc
  • I can’t wait to watch the next episodes of Matchmaker’s Lover (aka Love & Marriage). So I browsed the internet, found the episodes on Viikii.net, and watch the episodes until very late night. Last night I even slept at 1.30 am *usually I sleep at 10.00 pm ^^;;*
  • I listen to the Love & Marriage OST for thousands time ^^Especially the song called Zza Zza La by As One. Download the song now, and I’m sure you’ll love it ^^
  • I plan to start learning Korean Language so I can talk to Kim Ji Hoon *hahaha* My sister’s major is Korean Language. She better teach me if she still want to use my computer ;D *threatening pose*

Ok, maybe that’s all for now. I’ll post more of my syndromes if it gets worse *hahaha*

Korean Drama: Matchmaker’s Lover

TV October 22nd, 2008

Korean drama lover, if you have access to KBS World Channel, I strongly suggest you to watch this Korean drama called Matchmaker’s Lover. This drama is so funny. I missed the first episode, but that’s okay since I still could follow the story ^^ This drama is about the story of a divorce lawyer and a re-marriage matchmaker. Strange combination, eh ^^ I love the main actor *as usual :D*His name is Kim Ji Hoon. In this drama, he’s acting very cool and not talking to much, just like Song Seung Hoon did in drama Autumn In My Heart. It finally come to my sense that actually I like a kind of guy like that ^^;;

Here’s the synopsis from KBS World. I hope you can watch it too :)

What would happen if a couple manager and a divorce lawyer fall in love? Couple manager’s task is connecting peoples’ love, and divorce lawyer’s job is detaching people’s relationships. Nevertheless, the two jobs share the same conclusion; it’s love. Ganghyeon is a ‘couple manager’. She manages peoples’ arranged marriages, but dreams about her love marriage. She gets out from work for a marriage fraud, and starts to work as a remarriage couple manager. Unmarried woman, who failed in love, enters into the world of remarriage. Hyeonsu is a ‘divorce lawyer’. He married through the arranged marriage, and got divorced. He’s got the wounded heart about the divorcement, and doesn’t know what true love is. Ironically, he needs to help those who have the same pain and trouble that he has.
