Living a Frugal Life

Personal October 31st, 2008

In this recession year, we definitely have to cut back many expenses. We do not know when this recession will end, so we have to prepare for the worst to happen. I hope this year’s presidential election will have a great result to make United States’ economy back to normal, or at least get a little better. I Can’t believe I said that, now I sound more like a pessimist person :( Is this recession starting to have an effect for me?

Now let’s get back to our topic, living a frugal life. Sounds pathetic? No, it depends on the person. If we want to survive from this recession, that’s what we should do. Starting from now, shop wisely guys. Don’t waste our money on something that’s not really important and urgent.

For example, instead of buying your lunch at some fancy restaurants, it’s better to bring home-made lunch. It’s healthier, and you know that it’s hygienic. Cancel your membership on your gym. You can walk or jog around your neighborhood. It’s free and you can get to know more about your neighbor. Buy things online to save on gasoline. Although the price is lower now, we can still save our time on the road and do other more important things. The great thing about buying online, we can find many great deals easily, like this one. I found a site which sells low price eyeglasses. I’m quite amaze with the price. Last year I spent about $100 to replace my old eyeglasses. In this site, the price can start from $8. I could get 12 pair of eyeglasses if I found this site earlier :) So guys, let’s lead a frugal life from now. Enjoy our life, but don’t be too hard on yourself :)

ah harusnya bangsa kita jangan terlalu tergantung sama ekonomi US lah, udah banyak pakar yang bilang sistem kapitalis itu gak bener, gagal. Udah *kapitalisasi* terbukti bikin krisis berkali-kali, kok malah mau di re*kapitalisasi* weleh weleh :p Ayo bangun sektor riil, koperasi, ekonomi kerakyatan :)
